Tasks:

  • Carrying out scientific activities in the field of psychotherapy and somatic disorders psychologically conditioned;
  • Conducting pre-and post-graduate teaching in the field of psychological treatment and psychogenic diseases and disorders;
  • The Department is a scientific and organizational base of the Anxiety Disorders Day-Care Unit of Clinic of Psychiatry.

  • Processing of auditory stimuli and selected aspects of cognitive functioning of children with dyslexia. An innovative and extended method of assessing auditory processing.   • P50 wave gating of auditory evoked potentials in patients with panic disorder. Research as part of a doctoral dissertation.   • The department cooperates in the field of research projects with other organizational units of the Municipal Office:
- the Chair of Physiology - in the field of examining somatic and somatic symptoms in patients with panic disorder, 
- Chair of Pathophysiology - in the field of examining brain evoked potentials in patients with neurotic and personality disorders,
- the Chair of Infectious Diseases, Liver Diseases and Acquired Immune Deficiencies - in the field of structural and functional brain changes in patients infected with HIV and HCV.
